The Admiral series evokes the prestigious dimension of sport in which aesthetics, precision and the beauty of the action predominate. It introduces the subtle ambivalence of an outline that is both sober and robust, and perfectly illustrates Longines’ innate ability to match elegance and performance. Values revealed by the aesthetic purity and detailed manufacture of the automatic watches and chronographs of this series.

The rich technical heritage of Longines constitutes one of the components of its mastery in the sector of high competition. But sporting performance is not just a question of thousandths of a second or less: it is equally a matter of attitude, of spirit and or form. It is the elegance of the action that imparts that special, inimitable class to prestige sports. And it is that same elegance that Longines’ watchmaking craftsmen breathe into their timepieces, in their own way imbuing a performance marked by excellence.

The Admiral series summaries the spirit of sports in which time seems to acquire another dimension. The 24h “two time zone” models bear witness to this. They are fitted with an automatic movement a 24-hour scale on the bezel and a hand for the supplementary hours; just the thing for all those who enjoy crossing lines of longitude. The series also includes automatic mechanical chronographs with a date window at six o’clock and a tachymeter on the dial.

Beneath the anti-reflective coated sapphire glass appears a black, silver or chocolate-coloured dial, with applied indices, treated with superluminova. Both sober and easily legible, they highlight a “big 12” whose dynamic force symbolises the spirit of the sporting Longines design. Of an elegant robustness, the case has a screw-in crown and screw down case back, ensuring it remains water-resistant to a depth of 100 m.

The different models are available with steel bracelet or genuine alligator strap, fitted with triple security folding clasp. Materials at once noble and classic, they fit in perfectly with the top-of-the-range spirit of this prestigious series.(Watchluxus)
